La poltrona Hayine, progettata da Fabio Lenci per Bernini all’inizio degli anni ’70, rappresenta un vertice del design organico italiano per la sua capacità di coniugare audacia strutturale e comfort assoluto. Il segno distintivo del progetto risiede nei maestosi fianchi in cristallo temperato sagomato che, oltre a sostenere la struttura, donano all’oggetto un’eterea trasparenza, permettendogli di abitare lo spazio senza ingombrarlo visivamente. La scocca sospesa, unita da distanziali in acciaio cromato, presenta un’imbottitura ergonomica a segmenti orizzontali rivestita in pelle pregiata, studiata per accogliere il corpo seguendone le linee naturali. Designed by Fabio Lenci for Bernini in the early 1970s, the Hayine armchair represents a pinnacle of Italian organic design, renowned for its ability to combine structural audacity with absolute comfort. The project’s hallmark lies in its majestic sides made of shaped tempered glass which, in addition to supporting the structure, lend the object an ethereal transparency, allowing it to inhabit a space without visually cluttering it. The suspended shell, joined by chrome-plated steel spacers, features ergonomic horizontal-segmented padding upholstered in premium leather, designed to cradle the body by following its natural contours. A perfect synthesis of Space Age futuristic aesthetics and the elegance of noble materials, the Hayine is not merely a seat, but a piece of domestic architecture that celebrates the balance between the solidity of matter and the lightness of glass.
